THE TWO SKIERS

digital graphics art

The Two Skiers

A pair of skiers descends on the snow in a playful challenge, at the speed of a completely unrealistic context. The two are in fact so in harmony and part of a kind of absolute value that it’s the snow itself that generates them in a space and in an unprecedented cosmic outfit.
In memory of my friend Fabri and of that time spent together.

THE ASTRONAUTS

 digital graphics art

Attracted by the unknown in its cosmic identity as navigator and explorer, the astronaut exploits its essential integration with technology, mechanics, physics and electronics, maps new routes and new celestial bodies, in the challenge of knowing above all its own inner limits and the human nature, of understanding, in this navigation, the entire universe to which it belongs.
The project probably will include 6 works in different chromatic manifestations, the constants through them are, in addition to the subject, the minimalism, the draw line and the light blue line as a sign of the energetic transparency of the machine.
Developed by handmade sketches (year 2012).
Fine art print 1 edition, year 2024.

The Cave

The Cave 04

I developed the Cave/Spelon project as I consider it an important point of attraction and study for me, although it has certainly been addressed several times in literature, but it has stimulated me to interpret it visually.

There is certainly a reference in the myth of Plato's cave and in all the subsequent symbols also found in the Divine Comedy, as well as in the meaning of knowledge, meditation and individual journey. For me it is both an emotional and conceptual theme, we could say. The two aspects are strongly integrated. Without neglecting the questioning sense of attraction, of immersion and journey linked both to the entrance of a dark place, of a narrow, silent and mysterious ravine, and to that of an exit from it towards the light, with an enrichment or a personal impoverishment.

The project is carried out on six works of which three identify the entrance to the cave and three will be dedicated to the exit. The minimal and conceptual approach to which I belong is characterized here by an extreme simplicity used for the representation only of color spaces enclosed in the broken line used to try to stimulate thought and emotion.

The Climate Action Day - 2019/2024 anniversary

5 years later

Started a small hand draft on paper on the occasion of the action day for the climate of the 15th of march 2019, the work in digital is now drawn, re-proposing some themes of climate changes.

A cosmic light beam highlights two different characteristics caused by them. Earth is in fact symbolically represented in two parts; one barren, without seas, emptied by the drought and atmospheric pollution, the second one instead totally under water.

A Nature suffering and disoriented for that is expressed by the screaming and injured flower which also rebels against pollination, perhaps not recognizing bees as allies, thus also introducing the theme of the risk of their extinction. These, drawn with broken lines and cubic shapes, take a micro-robotic appearance, by growing a doubt...

SPACE CITY 06

SPACE CITY 06
year 2024

The Space Cities are located in the imaginary and they are timeless. Here the robotic city takes shape as the evolution of a stylized zoomorphic figure (gorilla, duck, elephant, seahorse, jellyfish, and giraffe) and gives meaning to the composition. An expressive language, realized through the research of other mind meanings and a new articulated, structured drawing that with inclined surfaces, crystal blocks for light, line tensions and dialogue of the colors gets to the minimal and conceptual aspect.
Project/Collection of 6 works started in 2012, completed in 2024 with the last digital work, Space City 06.
